Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

We offer personal tutoring and executive functioning coaching for students from sixth grade through college.

How can executive functioning coaching help me or my child?

Executive functioning coaching can improve organization, time management, and goal-setting skills. It builds confidence in and out of the classroom, teaches students to self-advocate and develops lifelong habits that carry through an academic career and into the professional domain.

How do the sessions work?

Sessions are scheduled in advance and are done virtually from anywhere in the U.S. and even internationally. Once a student signs up for a session they will receive 60 minutes of one-on-one time with Alison. Each session is $100.00 and is not billable to insurance.

What happens during the first session?

During the first session students will work together with Alison to create a plan that is centered on their goals. They will determine what areas they would like to focus on and then develop a customized action plan to address each skill area. For students that are in 8th grade or below, we ask that a parent be available for the first 10-15 minutes of the first session. After that parents will receive notes at the conclusion of a session and can respond with feedback when necessary.

"Alison built a positive and trusting relationship with our middle schooler with ADHD. She encouraged him to persist even when task were hard, and helped him develop effective strategies to tackle tasks and stay organized. He is now thriving in high school!" -Parent
